Mrs Meyer practices reverse glass painting and gilded glass (or verre églomisé).

Glass is a support for the paint, but it is also a varnish and a protection, because paint is applied on one face and the result can be seen on the other.

Reverse glass painting is a very old technique, which can be applied to modern themes. Nowadays, glass is very present in contemporary decoration.

Mrs. Meyer offers gilded decorations due to the application of metal leafs (copper or aluminium) and paint on the back side of the glass. She puts a totally new perspective on the tradition of reverse glass painting. She shows us a traditional art form with a contemporary touch.

Thanks to this technique, plates, and glass doors become real works of art.
