Serret Museum

" Discover the large collections of the Serret Museum dedicated to the resistance in Alsace during World War II as well as the history and activities that shaped the lives of the inhabitants of Saint-Amarin Valley. "

The Museum, housed in the former courthouse, spans three floors. Its collections are numerous and varied: military artifacts from the Vosges front during the First World War (1914-1918), the Resistance networks in Alsace and the liberation of the valley in 1944-1945, religious objects from the 15th to the 19th centuries, the textile industry and the history of the Valley, Alsatian seals and coins, artifacts from the oldest glassworks in Upper Alsace, established in Wildenstein in 1699, the crafts industry of yesteryear and the bygone trades, schoolchildren before 1914, the snows of long ago, the firefighters.
