Informationto note

In Alsace and Moselle, 26 December, Saint-Etienne's Day, is an additional public holiday, specially granted to the inhabitants of these départements. This benefit, in addition to the national public holidays, was introduced by an ordinance of 16 August 1892 in Strasbourg, under the terms of the Reich's organic law on industry. Many shops remained closed on this day.
