" Discover a unique crib where each character, from the Holy Family to the shepherds and sheep, is entirely carved in wood, with particular attention to detail. "
The present crib was installed in 1963, replacing the old one with its plaster statues. Over the years, these have been replaced by carved wooden statues, the work of our local sculptor Bernard Ledermann, the costs having been covered by the Conseil de fabrique and generous donors. All the characters of the crib are made of wood, of course the Holy Family, but also the announcing angel, the stable and the star, not to mention the shepherds and the sheep. The structure and the background of the sky are set up by the members of the same Council of factory helped by volunteers, and the floral decoration which takes the continuation is made by the team of the ladies florists. The old crib having been preserved, it is also highlighted and illuminated under the bell tower from where it can be seen from the outside when arriving at the church.
