Christmas concert : ensemble Adastra

A renowned string quartet for a grandiose Christmas concert.

"Ad astra per aspera": Towards the stars, through the difficulties... How can one better imagine the demanding practice of the string quartet, leading at the same time to an extreme fulfilment of the musician but always aiming at the unattainable? For this concert, the Adastra Quartet becomes the Adastra Ensemble with the help of four lyrical artists who propose an adaptation of the famous Christmas Oratorio by Camille Saint-Saëns on the occasion of the centenary of the composer's death. On the programme: Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921): Christmas Oratorio - Arcangelo Corelli (1653-1713): Concerto for Christmas Night - Franz Xaver Gruber (1787-1863): Douce nuit Noëls by Irvin Berlin and Henri Bettiet
