" Christmas magic is expressed in the magnificent nativity scene in Orschwiller Church, created by volunteers from the village. "
Vines and fir trees recall the setting in which the village and its church are situated. A castle of Haut-Koenigsbourg tops the decor, made of a rich set of mosses, mushrooms, branches, stones collected for weeks by a motivated team. Some elements of the decor are used again, others are not, or change place from one Christmas to the next according to Jean Eblin's inspiration and the development of new items! The number of santons is completed along the liturgical time until the Three Wise Men, walking along paths traced in a realistic way and very steep! Careful lighting accompanies the Holy Nativity, the donkey, the ox and the sheep.
